Die deutsche Koloratur-Sopranistin Simone Kermes singt am 23. Februar 2012  in der Harpa (Eldborg). Auf dem Programm stehen Arien von Georg Friedrich Händel und Antonio Vivaldi sowie Orchesterwerke von Corelli und Vivaldi. In der deutschen und internationalen Presse wurde Simone Kermes gefeiert als "beeindruckendste Barocksängerin der Gegenwart" , die ihre "lasergleiche Stimme" mit atemberaubender Technik und höchster Expressivität einsetzt.

Sie gab Solokonzerte und Liederabende in Deutschland und anderen europäischen Ländern, den USA (z.B. Carnegie Hall New York) und Japan. Für ihre CDs erhielt sie mehrfach internationale Auszeichnungen wie den Jahrespreis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, den Echo-Preis, den Diapason`Or, Midem Award, Choc le monde de la Musique, BBC music choise , Gramophone -- Disc of the month.
